Need help desexing your dog?
As of the 12th August 2025 we are working in conjunction with SPCA to provide desexing to the community in Auckland, via an SPCA funded initiative.
This new outreach desexing programme has limited numbers, and all applications are assessed on a case by case, needs basis.
Once assessed if you are approved you will receive a desexing voucher (and microchip if required) for the SPCA partner vet closest to you. From there you book in yourself to get the surgery done.
Criteria:
A need for help. We do require you to outline this so we can understand. Be fair, if you can afford an expensive breed/mix of dogs, you need to ensure you can desex.
Must be in Auckland, and be able to attend one our partner vets.
Priority will be given to high risk dogs and dogs in high risk areas.
One dog per home only.
Exclusions:
Brachycephalic breeds such as french and english bulldogs. Due to these being high risk surgeries with extra costs, we cannot include these at this time.
Cryptorchid dogs - This is an extra expense not covered.
No dogs under 6 months. We will not take any applications for dogs until they are over 6 months.
